Our story

Mrs. Kamla Gupta

Meet Mrs. Kamla Gupta

The force of discipline, devotion, love and unwavering faith.

To her, rituals were not routines.

They were breath.

They were protection.

They were gratitude.

She believed that the well-being and success of her children rested not only on effort, but on gratefulness, earned through everyday prayer, intention, and mindful living.

And she lived that belief, every single day.

Family Foundation

The Foundation of Our Family

She raised seven children and a growing tribe of grandchildren, with softness in her voice and steel in her conviction.

Sometimes her ways didn’t make complete sense to us. Especially to the younger ones.

Why bathe before sunrise? Why no shoes in the kitchen? Why pause everything for an aarti?

But no one questioned her faith. Because she was never confused about it herself. Her certainty held the family together.

She was the rhythm we all unknowingly walked to.

Traditions

When Traditions Traveled With Us

As the years passed and the grandchildren grew up. Some moved cities. Some moved countries. Some stayed close.

But distance never diluted her presence.

No matter where we were - India, the US, or just down the street, her calls would come:

“Aaj Shivratri hai beta, vrat karlena”
“Sharad Poornima ki kheer ki tayyari kar lena”
“Chalo Aarti ke time video call karna”
“Beta exam ke pehle pooja kar lena”

Rituals that modern life tends to forget, she made sure we remembered.

Faith outlasting distance

When Faith Outlasted Distance

Then came COVID. Fear, distance, uncertainty.

But even then, there were Zoom calls during aartis. Video calls during havans, screens glowing with joined hands.

The rituals continued. Not out of fear, but out of faith.

Because faith, in our family, was never cancelled.

Values

The Values We Inherited

The lessons were never imposed. They were absorbed.

Not forced.

Not lectured.

Just lived.

And somewhere along the way, they became part of us.

I’m sure every Indian family carries something similar, a thread of Hindu philosophy woven into daily life.

Generations

From Their Hands to Ours

In 2023, my Nani left us, age had slowly begun to take its toll.

In 2024, I lost my mother. Her best friend. Her legacy.

The gentle enforcer of those very rituals.

My mother wasn’t just her daughter. She was her continuation. And suddenly, the reminders stopped. The phone calls paused.

The calendar felt empty.

By 2025, I could feel the gap, not just in our home, but in our rhythm.

Birth of Ambikriti

The Birth of Ambikriti

That gap became a question.

How do we carry forward the love? The discipline? The meaning behind every small practice?

And that’s when Ambikriti was born.

Not just as a brand.

But as remembrance.

As continuity.

As gratitude.

Materials

Where Material Meets Meaning

Yes, we create high-quality brass and kansa pieces — sustainable, conscious, timeless. But Ambikriti is not just about objects of worship.

It is about the spaces we live in.

The kitchens where meals are prepared with love.

The tables where families gather.

The corners of a home where silence feels sacred.

Every ritual has meaning. Every practice has thought behind it. Every tradition carries wisdom.

And what better way to honor intention than with objects that are beautiful, mindful, and rooted in heritage?

Mentor

A Mentor in Every Home

I want Ambikriti to be what my Nani and my mother were for me, a guide.

A gentle reminder.

A keeper of rhythm.

A brand that helps families stay connected to their roots, without feeling outdated. Without feeling forced.

This is our small way of staying connected to them.

In every diya lit. In every bell rung. In every shared meal.
